[Incomplete child and adolescent psychiatric studies]
Abstract
Of the 5029 clients seen for the first time between 1973 and 1983, 229 (4.6%) dropped out before diagnostic evaluation could be completed. Data analysis showed above-average dropout rates for the items "adolescent," "only child," "job problems" and "drug abuse." A follow-up study was conducted in which those dropouts first seen during 1982-83 (N = 46) were questioned about the reasons for no longer coming.
