Dr Masis Isikbay is a former chief resident, current neuroradiology fellow,
and future neurointerventional radiology fellow at the University of California, San
Francisco (UCSF). He previously received the RSNA Education Project Grant to create
an online radiology call preparation curriculum, and recently received the RSNA
International Education Scholar Grant to expand this effort.

Graphic shows key components and features of an ideal call preparation
resource. This summary can serve as a blueprint for the creation of future
resources and has served as inspiration for our own effort to create
call-related educational content. PACS = picture archiving and communication
system, VPN = virtual private network.

Chart shows key features of call preparation radiology resources currently
used by trainees compared with the proposed platform. ARRS = American Roentgen
Ray Society, ASER = American Society of Emergency Radiology, ASNR = American
Society of Neuroradiology, PACS = picture archiving and communication
system.

Screenshots of the proposed call platform show user interface for a
specific condition (basilar thrombus at CT angiography). (A) Each
condition-specific page includes an interactive table of contents that
serves as the framework for organizing content. (B) There are annotated
still images integrated within the resource; for example, this axial CT
angiogram highlights the basilar artery containing a thrombus (yellow arrow)
and a portion that opacifies appropriately (white arrow). (C) Each page has
an embedded YouTube video playlist that includes a search pattern video and
dedicated case review of multiple cases to reinforce key teaching points.
(D) Each page also links to an online picture archiving and communication
system (PACS) server where fully interactive cases are provided, including
all cases reviewed in the video playlist.
