The authors discuss surgical decompression of the brain in patients with malignant ischemic cerebral infarcts. Successful staged treatment of a middle-aged patient with malignant ischemic stroke in the middle cerebral artery basin is presented.

В статье обсуждаются проблемы применения методов хирургической декомпрессии головного мозга у больных со злокачественными ишемическими инфарктами головного мозга. Представлен клинический случай этапного лечения пациента среднего возраста со злокачественным ишемическим инсультом в бассейне средней мозговой артерии с применением частичной резекции ишемизированной мозговой ткани.
