A core genome phylogeny was created with all publicly available nationally or internationally reported sequences (n=57) from NG isolates with the MLST-8123. Colored bars represent country, year, ceftriaxone minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC), cefixime MIC, azithromycin MIC, and ciprofloxacin MIC. Antimicrobial susceptibility data were not available for some isolates (gray boxes). Case 1 isolates LRRBGS-1327 and LRRBGS-1328 are labeled in dark red and differed by 8 SNPs (see Supplemental Appendix for the explanation for two isolates). The isolates observed in US 2021–2022 surveillance are boxed in blue, and the internationally emerging lineage containing the emerging mosaic penA-60.001 sub-lineage is boxed in red.
