Changes in cardiac structure and cardiorespiratory fitness with 6 months of androgen deprivation therapy Individual (light gray lines) and average (black line) pre- and post-treatment values for LV wall thickness (A) and indexed LV mass (B). LV wall thickness decreased by approximately 8% over this period, while LV mass index decreased by over 13%. Peak oxygen consumption (V˙O2PEAK), a robust measure of cardiorespiratory fitness, also declined over the course of treatment (C) by an average of approximately 7% (D).
