All enrolled patients were extracted from our prospectively collected database, including Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Patients, registered within our Ethics Committee Milano Area 3 with the following code: 534–102018 (Dec. 2018). Consent to participate: Informed consent was obtained from all subjects involved in the study. In this registry-based study, patients were informed that their completely anonymized data could be further used for scientific studies.
