US jurisdictions with confirmed cases of HPAI H5N1 virus infections in dairy herds as of April 5, 2024 (Idaho, Michigan, Ohio, Kansas, New Mexico, and Texas shown in pink colour). It is noteworthy that a cattle worker in Texas and a poultry worker in Colorado were tested positive for H5N1 in 2024 and 2022, respectively.
