Peptide-Carrier Conjugation

Paul Robert Hansen. Methods Mol Biol. 2024.

Abstract

To produce antibodies against synthetic peptides, it is necessary to couple them to a protein carrier. This chapter provides a nonspecialist overview of peptide-carrier conjugation. Furthermore, a protocol for coupling cysteine-containing peptides to bovine serum albumin is outlined.

Keywords: Bovine serum albumin; Peptide-carrier conjugation; m-maleimidobenzoyl-N-hydroxysuccinimidyl ester (MBS).
