[Diagnosis of hard-to-heal wounds. What must, what can and what should be considered?]

Abstract

In September 2023, an update of the S3 guideline for the treatment of chronic and hard-to-heal wounds, which was originally published for the first time in 2012, was published on the AWMF website. For this guideline, over 8,000 studies published since 2012 were screened, assessed and used to present the current evidence to answer 30 key questions. The following article presents the recommendations for diagnosing chronic wounds.
