Important Findings in the Work by Alsaied et al The “high-performing” Fontan phenotype predicts transplantation-free survival. Multiple clinical variables independently predict the “high-performing” Fontan patient and also define a Fontan failure phenotype. AV = atrioventricular; CVP = central venous pressure; EF = ejection fraction; PA = pulmonary artery; PLE = protein losing enteropathy; RV = right ventricle.
