Transfusions are an essential part of supportive care in the context of HCT. RBC and platelet concentrates (PCs) are the main blood products transfused in the peri-transplant period. Here we summarize indication for transfusion, selection of product type and immunohematological challenges in the context of allogeneic stem cell transplantation.
