Aging and frailty are associated with inflammatory endotypic shifts in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis
Abstract
Frailty and aging are associated with a shift toward non-type 2 inflammation in chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). Frailty-related shifts in sinonasal inflammatory mediators may be linked to biological senescence. Understanding the role of aging and frailty in CRS may have important treatment implications.
