Abstract

This is a case report of a 57-year-old man with deep vein thrombosis of the left upper extremity 41 years after a clavicle fracture. A CT-scan illustrated compression of the left jugular vein caused by pseudoarthrosis of the clavicle, and the patient underwent thrombolysis and operative decompression with osteosynthesis. This report highlights the importance of considering different underlying pathologies when presented with a patient with deep vein thrombosis of the upper extremity.
