Katherine Boas Lichty et al. Microbiol Resour Announc. .

Abstract

Vibrio diabolicus 3098 is a marine halophile, a member of the Gammaproteobacteria. The draft whole-genome sequence is 5.17 Mb and has 4,829 predicted coding sequences divided into two chromosomes and a plasmid. A gene cluster predicted to allow for the catabolism of compatible solutes ectoine and 5-hydroxyectoine was uncovered.

Keywords: Vibrio diabolicus marine halophile.
