Case Report: Treatment of Gonorrhea in Setting of Ceftriaxone Allergy
Abstract
Treating Neiserria gonorrhoeae infection in patients with cephalosporin allergy represents a significant challenge and highlights urgent need for alternative therapies. This patient case details use of alternative antimicrobials to cure urogenital and pharyngeal gonorrhea in a patient with a severe ceftriaxone allergy in the outpatient clinical setting.
