[Central nervous system lesions in leukemia in children]
Abstract
Initial morphologic manifestations of neuroleukemia consisted in tumor cell infiltration of the fat tissue of the epidural space (mainly, the lumbar region of the spine) and dura and pia mater spinalis. Leukemia infiltration of the central nervous system was due to tumor cell migration from the bone marrow via perivascular spaces.
