[Impact of the use of the therapeutic assistance tool "Savory Holder" on phosphoremia and the use of binders in chronic dialysis patients]
Abstract
The role of nutritional education in chronic dialysis is well recognized, but achieving lasting results in terms of phosphorus levels is difficult due to problems of patient compliance, both in terms of diet and chelation therapy. In response to this problem, Monaco's private hemodialysis center has developed a therapeutic support tool for dialysis patients in chronic renal failure. Based on a randomized, open, multi-center, routine care study (the Puce study), it has been shown that regular dietary monitoring and the provision of a therapeutic aid tool help patients to better follow their diet, with beneficial effects for them as early as 6 months.
