[Severe infections in pregnancy and the puerperium--prevention and therapy]
Abstract
Serious infections during pregnancy and puerperium hold the second place as a cause of maternal mortality. The most dangerous infections are chorioamnionitis and puerperal infections especially after cesarean section. Their prevention and management are dealt with.
