Vaginal myomectomy of multiple cervical myomas
Abstract
Cervical myomas are rare and pose a treatment challenge, particularly in childbearing years. We describe a case of a woman in her 30s with symptomatic multiple cervical myomas, two of them intramural, who desired a future pregnancy. She was successfully submitted to vaginal myomectomy, an unusual approach in intramural cervical myomas, which allowed uterine preservation and a normal appearing cervix on speculum and ultrasound examinations on follow-up.
