Mastering the Coronal Approach

Abstract

The coronal approach provides wide access to the upper two-thirds of the face and allows for bony and soft tissue modification only achievable using this technique. The coronal approach can be mastered with a thorough understanding of the surrounding neurovascular anatomy, incision design and its variations, and delicate soft tissue handling. This article aims to describe pearls for tissue dissection, modification, reconstruction, and management of complications in the coronal approach.
