Abstract

Adipogenesis is a complex multiphase process in which preadipocytes develop into adipocytes. This tightly regulated process is facilitated by a cascade of genes and transcription factors. In this chapter, we describe a protocol that can be used to quantify the expression of adipogenic markers using RT-qPCR.

Keywords: C/EBPa; CD36; FABP4; PPARg; RT-qPCR; adipogenesis.
