Abstract

Relaparotomies in the postoperative period were performed in 56 out of 529 patients (10,6%) operated upon for injuries of organs of the abdominal cavity. Twenty-two of them died. In most cases relaparotomies were caused by peritonitis, intraabdominal bleedings and abscesses.
