Sesquiterpenoids from the Homalomena occulta (Lour.) Schott and their anti-osteoclast genesis activity
Abstract
Seventeen sesquiterpenoids were isolated from the aerial part of Homalomena occulta (Lour.) Schott. Two new compounds, Homoccusions A (1) and B (2), were determined by extensive spectroscopic methods, ECD calculations, as well as MS analysis. Then, the anti-osteoclast genesis effects of all compounds were studied and compounds 1-5 showed strong inhibition with an osteoclast genesis inhibitory ratio of over 90% at 10 μM.
