Abstract

In the Rat peripheral information from snout vibrissae are transmitted to cerebellar Purkinje cells of Crus I and II by both mossy and climbing fibers. The climbing fiber pathway is organized in a very precise manner, a particular Purkinje cell being preferentially activated by a single vibrissa.
