Ethical Issues in Pediatric Endocrinology: A Primer for the Practitioner
Abstract
With technologic advancements and the use of existing therapeutic modalities to treat new patient populations, practitioners of pediatric endocrinology may face ethical dilemmas in providing care. The 4 ethical pillars of clinical practice are outlined in this review and serve as the basis for discourse surrounding 5 broad categories of clinical care, which pediatric endocrinology practitioners may encounter.
