A helping hand against severe dengue
Abstract
What immune responses protect against severe dengue? In this issue of Cell Host & Microbe, Gonnella et al. find that early CD4+ TEMRA cell expansion, enhanced regulatory T cell function, and type I IFN signatures in T cells are associated with protection, offering insights with implications for dengue vaccine development.
