[Rheological effectiveness of dioxyacetone]
Abstract
A study was made of the effect of dioxyacetone, a natural metabolite of carbohydrate metabolism, on blood rheological properties of man in vitro and experimental animals, with the drug being injected intravenously. It was discovered both in vitro and in vivo that dioxyacetone exhibits the remarkable rheological efficacy, provided its concentration in the blood amounts to 100 mg/100 ml.
