Endoscopic Aryepiglottic Z-Plasty for Pediatric Post-Supraglottoplasty Supraglottic Stenosis

Ahmed Ali et al. Laryngoscope. .

Abstract

Endoscopic aryepiglottic Z-plasty was used to successfully treat pediatric post-supraglottoplasty supraglottic stenosis in a 14-year-old patient, restoring airway patency while preserving mucosal tissue. This minimally invasive approach resulted in marked improvement in breathing and resolution of airway obstruction, with no evidence of restenosis at four-month follow up. The technique offers a promising, mucosa-sparing option for complex pediatric airway reconstruction.
