Immunoglobulins of mink. Evidence for five immunoglobulin classes of 7S type
Abstract
Five immunoglobulin classes designated γ2a, γ2b, γ2c, γ1, and γA were identified in the middle peak of Sephadex G-200 gel filtrate of mink sera. γ1 globulin and γA globulin appeared to share an antigenic determinant which was not present on the γ2 globulins. Radioimmunoelectrophoresis revealed weak antibody activity of γ2 globulins but strong antibody activity of γ1, and γA globulins in immune sera of two mink immunized with bovine serum albumin.
