Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) is becoming increasingly used in primary care and has the potential to be accessible, reliable, and indispensable. However, few family medicine residency programs offer training in POCUS. Therefore, we have developed a two half-day training program for family medicine residents to help them acquire more knowledge in this area and improve their confidence. The sessions were highly appreciated by the residents. This project could pave the way for the development of a standardized curriculum and its widespread dissemination.

L’échographie ciblée devient de plus en plus utilisée en soins primaires et a le potentiel d’être accessible, fiable et indispensable. Cependant, peu de programme de résidence en médecine familiale offre une formation en échographie ciblée. Nous avons donc élaboré un programme d’enseignement d’échographie de deux demi-journées pour les résidents en médecine familiale afin qu’ils acquièrent davantage de connaissances dans le domaine et améliorent leur confiance. Les séances ont été fortement appréciées par les résidents. Ce projet pourrait ouvrir la voie au développement d’un curriculum standardisé et à la dissémination de ce dernier à grande échelle.
