Cell resistance induced by virus--antibody complexes

Cell resistance induced by virus--antibody complexes

L Kjellén. Immunology. 1965 Jun.

Abstract

Data are presented indicating that the treatment of a monolayer of cells with a neutralized and noninfective mixture of virus and antibody brings about a state of immunity against a fresh dose of identical virus. The phenomenon has to be considered in the interpretation of virus neutralization experiments, as well as in the construction of theories of immunological phenomena.
