The effect of unaggregated bovine gamma globulin on gamma M and gamma G antibody formation
Abstract
The sensitivity of passive haemagglutination test in detecting 19S antibody formation and that of passive cutaneous anaphylaxis test in detecting 7S antibody formation have been found to be of the same order of magnitude on day 6 in the primary response and on day 4 in the secondary response.
By using techniques of similar sensitivity to detect these classes of antibody, it appears that the injection of supernatant BGG inhibits the formation of γG antibody to a greater extent than the formation of γM antibody during the induction of partial unresponsiveness.
