[Pathophysiology and clinical aspects of the venous low-pressure system]
Abstract
The pathophysiology especially of the venous low-pressure system, the venous muscle pump, and the pressure-volume relation is represented. The clinical manifestations--varicous veins-varicophlebitis, phlebothrombosis, and chronic venous insufficiency--are described. Consecutively, the ways of possible therapy are shown.
