[Oxidative phoshporylation, proton exchange and volume changes in hepatocyte mitochondria under the effect of exogenous succinate]
Abstract
Long use of exogenous succinate causes changes in hepatocytes bioenergetic functions in guinea pigs. The character of cation is of essential significance in this situation: sodium succinate produces a moderate stimulating effect, potassium succinate evokes a distinct energizing influence.
