Improved accuracy of continuous measurement of arterial oxygen tension in sick newborn infants. Criteria for reading and recalibrating the electrode
Abstract
Improved accuracy of continuous arterial oxygen tension (PaO2) measurement is obtained if allowance is made for the response time of the electrode. Recalibration is necessary only when PaO2 measured in a blood sample differs from the electrode value by more than +/- 11.5 mmHg (1.5 kPa).
