Abstract

Three entities that can cause life threatening bleeding in the head and neck are described: epistaxis, post-tonsillectomy bleeding, and post-tracheostomy bleeding. It behooves all physicians operating in this area and emergency room physicians and personnel to be acquainted with the diagnosis and management of these situations.
