Detection of a tumour-specific antigen (Gross) with the mixed antiglobulin reaction using erythrocytes from NZB-B1 mice
Abstract
The mixed antiglobulin reaction has been used to demonstrate the Gross (G) antigen on a tissue culture cell monolayer, and with greater sensitivity than could be achieved by indirect immunofluorescence. Erythrocytes from NZB/B1 mice, showing positive direct antiglobulin tests, when treated with an anti-mouse immunoglobulin serum, provided a convenient source of indicator cells for the reaction.
