Endonuclease II of E. coli. I. Isolation and purification
Abstract
The isolation and purification of a new endonuclease of E. coli is described. This enzyme degrades alkylated DNA as assayed by a technique that requires double-strand scission. The enzyme also makes a limited number of single-strand breaks in native nonalkylated DNA.
