Abstract

An assay of in vitro lymphocyte stimulation based on measurement of protein synthesis has been developed. It requires few cells (1–2 × 105 per culture) and short incubation periods. The kinetics of the response to PHA, antigens and MLC are presented. The rate of protein synthesis in PHA stimulated cells continues to increase for at least 75 hr.
