Early 7S antibody--antigen complexes with affinity to spleen cells in chickens immunized with a low dose of human serum albumin
Abstract
Primary immunization of chickens with 10–100 μg [125I]HSA/kg body weight results between the 3rd and 4th day in simultaneous appearance of 7S antibody—antigen complexes and free 19S haemagglutinating antibodies in serum. The complexes are cytophilic for spleen cells both in vivo and in vitro. The immunological significance of early cytophilic immune complexes is discussed.
