The influence of extended glucagon infusion on liver cell regeneration after partial hepatectomy in the rat
Abstract
Extended infusion of various amounts of glucagon leads, in normal rats, to a slight reduction in liver cell DNA synthesis. After partial hepatectomy the extended infusion of glucagon causes a large reduction in DNA synthesis in the remaining liver.
