Number of anti-troponin striations along the thin filament of chick embryonic breast muscle
Abstract
Anti-troponin formed 25 to 29 striations with a period of 38 nm along the whole length of thin filaments in chick embryonic breast muscle, in contrast with the uniform formation of 24 striations in adult muscle. This indicates that the thin filament in embryonic breast muscle is longer than that in the adult muscle.
