The ability of maternal antibody to increase the immune response in infants
Abstract
There is a relationship between the titre of antibody in cord blood to pertussis, diphtheria and tetanus antigens, and the antibody response of the babies to pertussis—diphtheria—tetanus vaccine. The response to this vaccine was greater in babies with antibodies in the cord blood.
