[Primary localization of the pathologic process in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis]
Abstract
The clinico-electromyographical study was conducted in 120 patients with motor disturbances in amyotrophical lateral sclerosis. Comparing the clinical and electromyographical data in different variants of this disease the authors make a conclusion on the simultaneous damage of peripheral and central mononeurons from the very onset of the disease. Along with this the latter is damaged not only primarily, but secondarily as a result of trans-synaptic degerneration due to pathology of the segmental-nucleus motor cells.
