Abstract

In 62% of the cases with Fallot's complex disturbances of haemostasis were found. Their pathogenesis is assumed to be a complex one: On the one hand, chronic consumption coagulopathy may play a role; on the other hand, impairment of the RES function or inhibition of haemostasis and disturbances of thrombocytopoesis due to hypoxia have to be taken into consideration.
