Doppler spectral broadening and anomalous vessel wall movement in the study of atherosclerosis of the carotid arteries
Abstract
In this paper the hypothesis is presented that a combination of Doppler spectral broadening techniques with quantification of the relative movement between the atherosclerotic plaque and the artery wall can be used to investigate the development and progression of the plaque.
