The 5' end of foot-and-mouth disease virion RNA contains a protein covalently linked to the nucleotide pUp
Abstract
Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) virion RNA contains a protein covalently linked to its 5' end. This protein has a molecular weight of approximately 12,000 daltons and is linked to the nucleotide pUp.
