[Relation between the binding of 3H-imipramine and the uptake of catecholamines in synaptosomal preparations of the rat brain after chronic treatment with imipramine]
Abstract
After 3 weeks treatment with imipramine (7.5 mg/kg/ip), 5-hydroxytryptamine uptake in rat brain homogenates was not affected whereas noradrenaline uptake was lowered. This result could be explain by metabolism of imipramine producing desipramine.
