Impression materials for complete and partial denture prosthodontics
Abstract
Many techniques and materials for impressions for removable partial and complete dentures are available. Current materials are extremely accurate, and addition reaction silicones and polyethers provide continuing accuracy for days after the impressions are made. Acceptable techniques are possible for any of the materials, and the selection of one material over another for routine use depends on personal preference and clinical needs.
