Monoclonal antibodies to glial fibrillary acidic protein in the cytologic diagnosis of brain tumors
Abstract
Monoclonal antibodies were used to immunocytochemically demonstrate the presence or absence of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) in smear preparations from human intracranial tumors. The results show that this approach may be of great help in the histogenetic classification of such tumors.
